Associate Level Internship
Background
If you have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of private equity and/or capital markets, along with a record of academic excellence and professional drive, we encourage you to apply for an internship with 5Capital Funds Placement. You will work with our team on a diverse range of projects and activities and assist us in meeting our goals of working with and raising capital for best-in-class private equity and other alternatives managers. We are looking for current MBA-students who have intensity and integrity, intellectual curiosity, leadership potential, public presence and a passion for excellence. In return, we will offer you an internship with real responsibility, and the chance to deepen your skills and knowledge of private equity, venture capital and other private capital strategies. You will be engaged in live transactions and marketing projects, as well as, assisting us in the research and analysis of different funds and investors.
We are flexible in terms of the physical location of the candidate and the availability, in terms of hours per week, and there is a stipend available.

5Capital Funds Placement is an entrepreneurial firm that assists best-in-class private equity, venture capital, private debt, real assets and other alternatives funds, between $200 million and $1 billion in size, raise capital from institutional investors, including, pension funds, foundations, endowments, DFIs, SWFs, family offices and other asset managers, on a global basis.

Additionally, we have an exceptional deal pipeline of high quality funds and receive over 50 inbound fund requests per quarter.
Duties and Accountability

Carrying out of research and analysis work on investment managers, funds, and investors)

Carrying out sector research and analysis work

Screening fund managers
-
Internet research
-
Prepare LP and GP databases
-
Assist in preparing fund marketing materials, presentations, etc.

Assist in maintaining and updating our Website and producing sector-specific content
Selection Criteria
-
Knowledge and enthusiasm for private equity and investment management
-
Excellent written and verbal English communications skills essential. Other languages, like German, French, Mandarin, and Japanese, are a plus.

Ability to work independently

Strong organizational skills

Excellent knowledge of MS Office software programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Location
Flexible (depending upon their relationships) in Europe, North America, Asia and Latin America.
